Small scale hydro-electric power
Most people associate hydro-electric power with large dams, reservoirs and power stations.
However, if a river or stream with powerful enough running water or with a high drop is present on the property, small-scale systems can be used to produce sufficient power, using water flowing through a turbine to drive a generator that produces the electricity.
