Renewable Heat Incentive
In March 2011, the UK Government announced the details of their Renewable Heat Incentive:
- provides financial support to non-dmosetic renwable heat generators and producers of biomethane.
- designed to provide financial support that encourages individuals, communities and businesses to switch from using fossil fuel for heating to renwables such as wood fule
- you ear a fixed income for every kilowatt hour of heat you produce
- administered by the official regulator Ofgem who pay the tariff with money from the Treasury.
