Feed In Tarriffs Scheme
Introduced in April 2010:
- encourage the uptake of small scale renwable and low carbon technogloies up to a total installed capacity of 5MW
- replaces the Renewable Obligate (RO)
- requires licensed electricty suppliers to pay a generation tariff to small scale low carbon generators for electricity generated.
